Nuwara – Eliya

The name Nuwara – Eliya was related to Rama – Sita story. A city of pre-historic Sri Lanka, a city today with lesser population. It is the coolest part of the country. It is a hub of hill country tourism. The area of Nuwara – Eliya is surrounded by beautiful sceneries of tea estates, forests, flowers and streams and water falls. Boat rides in Gregory Lake, horse riding at race -course, Worlds End near Ohiya, railway journey from Nanu Oya to down to Peradeniya or Ella are some of excursions available.
